Regardless of how advanced technologies are pushing forward with online learning and e-books, I still believe that actual books still hold the profound force of our fundamental knowledge. Today, Myanmar Development Foundation picked up hundreds of books from our partner, The Book Fairies. Thank you so much The Book Fairies for supporting our needs. I have collected estimated over 3000 books ready to be shipped to Myanmar. one pallet load of sea cargo. Myanmar Development Foundation projected to send over ten thousands books in 2022.
We had relocated refugees to the temporary shelters, and supplied dry foods, drinking water, and others necessities. Logistic is still quite challenging though.
Christmas Day at the refugee camp – at least children got foods to eat, balloons to play for that day. Construction of shelters are still work in progress. Preparing Christmas breakfast for 300 folks in refugee camp in Kayah.
Development Foundation is grateful for those who are tirelessly working on the ground. I would also like to thank Support the Democracy Movement in Burma – SDMB for supporting funds and budget that we needed.
Our coordinator and the team on the ground confirmed that foods and supplies were delivered to Demoso(Dimawhso) town, Kayah state- South-Eastern region of Myanmar. Burma army attacked this beautiful town and completely annihilated leaving the whole town engulfing in fire.
While we are gearing toward sending humanitarian aids and supplies to the regions in Myanmar where military regime previously destroyed the villages in the air raids, we are heartbroken to learn another administrative town, Thantlang, of Chin state was annihilated – every house were engulfed in the flame and causing hundreds of resident to flee their hometown. The report of death is not still coming out yet due to situation on the ground unable to reach out to the residents of the town, but the scale of pathological destruction caused by military armed force was beyond conceivable by any rational mind.
part of the vocational training programs, Myanmar Development Foundation created a new program that allows young students to get their hands on 3D printing devices. 3D printer boxes are ready to be shipped. These materials and devices will be used for vocational training schools in Myanmar. We’re looking forward to provide 3D printing technologies and educational guidance for youth in Myanmar. We will be walking together with them for their learning journey.
