While we are gearing toward sending humanitarian aids and supplies to the regions in Myanmar where military regime previously destroyed the villages in the air raids, we are heartbroken to learn another administrative town, Thantlang, of Chin state was annihilated – every house were engulfed in the flame and causing hundreds of resident to flee their hometown. The report of death is not still coming out yet due to situation on the ground unable to reach out to the residents of the town, but the scale of pathological destruction caused by military armed force was beyond conceivable by any rational mind.

Myanmar Development Foundation like to point out the fact that army generals who usurped the power are already disregarding the international human rights and political dialogs suggested by UN, and yet still willing to continue committing violence crimes against humanity. Since the claws of military monster have started stretching out and intensified its assault to the regions where ethnic armed organizations are not fully controlled, we are unable to cope with humanitarian crisis of the thousands of internally displaced persons as well as their physical and psychological safety.

The emotional impact is also profoundly affecting younger generation sending waves of anger and despair among youths, making their fists clenches and throbbing veins run with blood filled with determination to protect the people from atrocity of military junta. Myanmar Development Foundation is people’s foundation. Therefore, we always stand with the people of Myanmar, and always in line with people’s desires. We will continue supporting leadership and guidance to ease the humanitarian crisis in the regions.

“WINTER IS COMING” in Myanmar. One of our volunteers is preparing warm clothes for the internally displaced persons from the regions attacked by Myanmar military force recently. Our volunteers are working around the clock to ease humanitarian crisis in the regions. Thank you so much for your hard work. Those regions are out skirted with mountain terrains, and winter season is tormenting especially to those people who are fleeing their home town and taking refuge in the jungle.
